Starting an aquarium or any other hobby that includes animals and ecosystems can be hard, especially if you are new to the hobby and do not know much about what you are getting into. When I started I was constantly looking online for information and help and could never find exactly what I was looking for, And when I did – it was in 20 different places. There are allot of aquarium websites and they are all very helpful but none of them satisfied what I was looking for…
And thus, on November 2015 This website was born. Officially under the name AquariumJunkiesCanada for the first two years and currently CritterGuide. Enjoy the website..

Glaucus atlanticus is a species of small, blue sea slug, a pelagic aeolid nudibranch, a shell-less gastropod mollusk in the family Glaucidae. These sea slugs are pelagic: they float upside down on the surface tension of the water, where they are carried along by the winds and ocean currents. Glaucus atlanticus is camouflaged: the blue side of their body faces upwards, blending in with the blue of the water. The silver/grey side of the sea slugs faces downwards, blending in with the silvery surface of the sea. Glaucus atlanticus feeds on other pelagic creatures, including the venomous cnidarian, the Portuguese man o’ war. This sea slug stores stingingnematocysts from the cnidarian within its own tissues as defense against predation. Humans handling the slug may receive a very painful and potentially dangerous sting.
