Common Name: Clear Flatworm
Scientific Name: Amakusaplana acroporae
The Clear Flatworm is a harmless worm that “shows up” at times in reef tanks, because their similarity to other harmful flatworms they are often mistaken as a pest. The Clear Flatworm can grow up to several millimeters in size an in clear-while in appearance. They reproduce very succesfully in the aquarium and unless they overpopulate the tank they are a great addition to biodeversity. Many fish and other tank member will often feed on these creatures.
