Common Name: Dorvilleidae Worm
Scientific Name: Polychaete, Dorvilleidae (Family)
The Dorvilleidae Worm is a smaller relative of the bristle worm and is reported to be in a range of sizes growing to 3 inches long, many species in the aquarium however are extremely small. These worms are characterized by the fairly spaced out setae, the sickle-like jaws and the hook-like antennae (see the video and pictures bellow). Dorvilleidae worm feed primarily on alega and are not considered as a threat to the aquarium.
